RULE: ENTERING AN ENCLOSURE
Wear only hiking boots, hiking shoes, athletic or fully enclosed foot gear. No sandals.
DRESS AS IF YOU ARE GOING ON A HIKE!
DO NOT WEAR: If you do not adhere to those rules you may not be able to go into the enclosure!
• Fur (faux or otherwise)
• Anything with tassels, dangles, loose objects or decorations..basically anything that can be torn off of you
• Expensive jewelry, down coats, scarves, hats... anything that could be stolen by a wolf
• No dread locks
By wearing any of these items in an enclosure you MAY be at risk of losing that article of clothing or if a wolf becomes obsessed with an item, you may have to be escorted out. For safety reasons, no personal items in the enclosures (including cameras, cell phones and pagers).
Due to the potential risks involved in entering the wolf enclosures, you will be required to sign a liability waiver before you go on the tour. Unfortunately, we cannot allow persons who are handicapped mentally or physically, pregnant, have medical conditions and/or medical devices (e.g., oxygen tanks, walkers, canes, colostomy bags, etc.) or frail elderly persons to enter the animal enclosures. Staff will make the determination at the time of the interaction to determine if the individual is fit to enter the enclosure. If the ALPHA PHOTO tour has been prepaid, the money will be fully refunded.
AMATEUR · PROFESSIONAL · COMMERCIAL
If you are looking for wolf photos that you can sell and use, or just looking for a truly unique experience, consider our PRIVATE PHOTO SESSIONS! You will have an hour to view and select from many wolves, coyote,
red fox, and swift fox in a very natural environment where photo-manipulation may not even be necessary! We try to accommodate requests for specific animals based on circumstances at the time of the shoot. Sessions available year-round but we recommend the fall and winter when the animals have their most beautiful coats.
We limit professional photo sessions to only one (1) photographer per day. That photographer can have one person accompany them (must be at least 18 years of age and comply with the same rules and restrictions), to help with gear. The professional photo session is limited to only one photographer in the enclosure.
There are no limitations on the lens size used during a professional photo session. Photography sessions are by reservation only and are limited to morning or late afternoon (best lighting and wolf cooperation). All photographers must sign a release form before entering the enclosures and must be 18 or older. Please keep in mind that your pictures can help with our mission of conservation so we encourage you to promote the wolf and other wildlife with educational information with your pictures if used commercially.
CWWC has the right to refuse individuals we feel are not fit mentally or physically to enter the enclosures or for any reason that could stress or cause harm to our animals or the individuals. A handler will be with you at all times for the safety of the animals and the photographer as well as to encourage the animals into good locations for pictures. While most of these animals are socialized, they are still wild, and our first responsibility is to maintain their sanctuary. Our animals will not perform or pose unnaturally nor will we subject them to stressful situations. We reserve the right to reschedule the session at the discretion of the handler if he or she determines it's in the animals’ best interest.

RULES: PETS · SMOKING · RESTROOMS · HANDICAP ACCESS
PETS are discouraged, but when they do accompany you in your travels, for their safety, they must remain in your vehicle at all times. We ask that you keep adequate water supply for your pets and keep your windows cracked. We do not have a pet exercise area so please plan accordingly for your pet’s comfort. If you must take your dog out for a potty break, we ask that you walk them on the SOUTH side of the parking lot, away from the wolf enclosures, and out of the view of the resident animals. A typical visit to CWWC lasts approximately 90 minutes.
NO SMOKING is allowed during tours. We have a designated smoking area outside our visitor center, and we ask that all cigarette butts be disposed of properly. You’re visiting an area that is very fire sensitive!
CWWC HAS ONLY TWO RESTROOMS. If you have a large party, please use a restroom before arrival if possible. We are on a small well and septic system and in one of the worst droughts on record. We ask that you help us conserve water.
CWWC IS HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE. We offer loading/unloading for handicap access and our restrooms are handicap approved. Trail is not paved. It is gravel and woodchips and can be muddy, snowy and unpredictable. We will be as accommodating as Mother Nature allows us. Call ahead for conditions during inclement weather. Individuals who are unable to walk the tour (1-hour long and the distance is about 800ft) with advanced notice we can provide a golf cart and a driver. Space is limited to 2 individuals and it is on a first come basis available during the summer hours only.
Note: The tour is a slow walk and you will be in front of each enclosure for about 5 minutes or so. There are some inclines and steps. We have benches along the way and your guide has a two-way radio should you need help of any kind.
SORRY, NO DISCOUNTS - INCLUDING MILITARY - ON ANY OF OUR TOURS.
